A little about me. My name is Lindsay Powell Fooshee and I seek to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ. I’ve been walking with Jesus for over 30 years now, hopefully resembling Him more now than I did when He drew me to Himself around the age of 8. My hope is in the gospel of Jesus, for my eternal salvation as well as living out my day-to-day life.
I am wife to John, who serves Jesus as a church planter with Acts 29. He currently pastors a great group of people at Redeemer Community Church in east Tennessee. It is my joy to help John and serve alongside him. Because my passion is discipleship, I focus my efforts on encouraging our church family to make discipleship central to their lives.
I am a mom to 4 great kiddos, ranging in age from 1 to 18 (yep, you read that right). My older 2 kids keep me busy running between the soccer field and the ballet studio, but I love every minute of it (well, ok, most of the time). In 2010, we adopted Wesley, who is our daily challenge, delight, and entertainment all wrapped up in one cute kid. The youngest member of our family is currently with us through foster care, but we are hoping to be able to adopt him later this year :).
I am a graduate of King College, where I earned a BA in English with a minor in Bible & Religion. I also completed an MA in Christian Thought at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. I am so grateful for my education and for the many professors and classmates who have invested in me over the years.
If I have any free time, you can probably find me at the ballet studio, where I teach a couple of classes and help create original productions. This is pure joy for me, and I am so grateful my body still cooperates!
Enough about me. I would love to hear from you. Ideally, I’d offer you a seat on my kitchen stool and have a face-to-face conversation. But if that’s not possible, feel free to contact me here:
